Zoie + Dylan | Private Residence, Michigan

Meet Zoie and Dylan, a couple whose kindness and vibrant personalities made our planning journey an exceptionally enjoyable experience from the very start. Zoie's vision of an Italian garden wedding with blue and white china aligned perfectly with my own aspirations, creating an instant connection. What made this planning process truly unique was the couple's decision to have a small intimate ceremony with family in December, followed by a grander reception in August.

Zoie initially reached out based on a recommendation from her photographer, seeking professional assistance to bring her vision to life. From the outset, the couple had a clear vision of an Italian-garden-inspired celebration, a theme that resonated throughout the entire planning process.

A few months into planning, Zoie and Dylan embarked on a new chapter of their lives, moving to Florida. Despite the challenges of starting new careers, we dedicated time to ensure every detail of the reception was meticulously curated. A standout element of this wedding was the incredible team of vendors, with a special mention to florist Amber Kniebel at Bailey and James. Their dedication in planning, designing, and assembling the florals added a breathtaking touch to the entire event.

The design and décor were a harmonious blend of blue and white china, adorned with an abundance of white florals. Custom details like napkins, matchboxes, and photos from the intimate ceremony added a uniquely personal touch. The cuisine, served family-style in line with Italian tradition, featured a delectable spread including a charcuterie display, caprese skewers, chicken parm, filet, pancetta shrimp, and a delightful cake for guests to savor.

The musical ambiance was set by the talented Bluewater Kings band, performing as a trio during the cocktail hour and transforming into a 7-piece ensemble for the lively reception attended by 100 guests.

Throughout the planning process, Zoie and Dylan's trust and kindness allowed me to unleash my creative self in executing their vision. The event culminated in great success, featuring a spectacular fireworks display, a charming gelato cart, and a heartfelt video capturing the essence of Zoie and Dylan's ceremony. As the celebration concluded, Zoie and Dylan ceased to be just clients; they felt like cherished friends, marking the true essence of a perfect wedding journey.
