What is event planning?
Event Planning is the management it takes to put together a successful event prior to your celebration. Event Planning consists of budget establishment and management, creative partner recommendations and booking, attend meetings with creative partners, contract critique, transportation and accommodation arrangements, paper goods order and implementation (invitations, menus, place cards, etc.), menu selection, day-of timeline planning, etiquette guidance, wedding favor and accessory details, marriage license procurement, unlimited consultations.
What is a day-of coordinator?
A day-of coordinator is a wedding professional who is not involved in the planning process until about a month prior to your wedding. A month out, you will hand everything over to your coordinator who will act as a "project manager" to your big day. Coordinators handle everything from set-up to take down, timeline management, vendor management, and so much more. Having a professional on-site for your big day is a must to ensure your event is handled with precision, professionalism and attention to detail.
How does Month-of Coordination differ from Wedding Planning?
A day-of coordinator is building a timeline and essentially project managing your event on the day of. Most involvement from a day-of coordinator starts about one month prior to your special day. A Wedding Planner will be involved throughout the entire planning process. You will meet with your planner to touch base and connect on next steps but your planner will handle vendor recommendations, options, availability, meetings, event design, budgeting and so much more!
How many coordinators are needed for my event?
Typically, one coordinator is enough to manage each event with a guest count anywhere from 25-200 guests. Some circumstances; like 200+ guests, 10+ vendors, etc. may require additional team members that will be discussed closer to the event.
What if we need more time on the day-of?
The day of package includes 10 hours of service. If additional time is required, that must be discussed one week prior to event date in order to make arrangements. Additional time will be billed at an hourly rate of $150/hr.
What if my event requires additional coordinators?
Additional coordinators will be billed at an hourly rate as an addendum to the contract. Hourly rate will be discussed and agreed upon prior to your event.
Do you require a security deposit?
Yes. A 50% retainer is due for services on the date the contract is signed in order to process the contract and secure your event date. The deposit goes toward the total package cost and will be deducted when your full balance is billed out. The full balance is due 30 days prior to your event for day-of coordination packages. Pricing structure will be predetermined for full planning, production and design.
What if the date of my wedding is already booked?
Although cancellation is rare, things can come up. We can put your name on a waitlist for that date, should the date re-open.
