Denise + Nicholas | The Lakehouse Venue

Last summer, I was hired to coordinate a wedding for two beautiful people, Denise and Nicholas. They already had their Ludington, Michigan venue booked at The Lake House and just needed a little extra assistance on wedding day.

We handled much of our pre-planning over the phone since the couple was not local to Grand Rapids and we were still in peak Covid season. I actually met the couple for the first time on their wedding day (!!) and, I must say, Denise and Nicholas were two of the sweetest people I have met.

Seeing this couple together filled my heart with so much joy. The love that filled the room with their closest family and friends was truly breathtaking.

This wedding style was timeless and elegant with a black and white color scheme - my favorite! Their bridesmaids were dressed in a beautiful taupe silk that complemented the black and white theme so well. The fireside s’mores were the perfect late night snack for guests and watching the sun set over the lake was the icing on the cake.

As a planner, I have had the honor of viewing hundreds of wedding photo galleries. Each is unique in their own way. With each gallery I am sent, I have further developed an intense appreciation for details shots, bridal portraits and various editing styles. That said - Denise and Nicholas’ album was one of my favorites for so many reasons; emotions, natural feel (not staged) and editing style- to name a few.

It is so important to view portfolios of potential photographers and to get to know their working style before booking with them. Something I adore about Brittany Bradley’s style is that her photos are so natural. Behind the camera, she does everything under the sun to make her clients feel the most comfortable and that, in turn, is reflected in each of their photos.
